Jade grading helps evaluate quality and value. Type classification: Type A (natural, untreated, highest value), Type B (bleached and polymer-impregnated, moderate value), Type C (dyed, low value), Type B+C (both treatments, lowest value). The 4 C's: Color (imperial green most valuable, then apple green, lavender, yellow, white, black), Clarity (fine, medium, coarse), Cut (symmetry, polish, proportions), Carat weight. Translucency grades: opaque, slightly translucent, translucent, highly translucent (ice variety), transparent. Texture grades: fine, medium, coarse. Always purchase with a certificate from GIA, NGTC, or GRS.
